External Beeswax Universal Bolt Features
Skilled craftsmen hand forge every bolt from solid mild steel before applying From The Anvil’s unique External Beeswax finish. This specialist anti-corrosive treatment undergoes rigorous salt-spray testing for up to 480 hours, providing excellent protection while retaining the character of traditional hand-forged ironmongery.
The finish has a soft matt appearance with subtle colour variations ranging from deep blue through to warm red ochre. As a result, every bolt develops its own distinctive appearance while complementing both traditional and contemporary interiors.
The spring-loaded mechanism holds the bolt securely in position, while the three supplied keeps allow installation in a variety of situations, making this one of the most versatile bolts in the range.

External Beeswax Finish & Care
Occasionally, a light white bloom may appear on the finish after unpacking. This is a natural characteristic of beeswax products and can occur because of temperature changes during storage or transport. Simply buff the surface gently with a soft cloth to restore its rich appearance.
Although the External Beeswax finish already offers outstanding protection against moisture and weather, applying a small amount of From The Anvil Maintenance Wax periodically will provide additional protection and help preserve the finish.
For reliable long-term performance, apply a small amount of 3-in-1 Oil to the moving parts during installation and as part of routine maintenance. This simple step helps ensure smooth operation and extends the life of the mechanism.
