Our Beeswax T Hinges are expertly hand-forged from mild steel using traditional blacksmithing methods, offering authentic period detailing with exceptional strength. Finished in a rich, matte beeswax coating, these hinges bring a timeless character to ledged, braced, or plank doors, making them perfect for cottages, barn conversions, and heritage renovations.

This classic finish enhances the natural tones formed during the forging process—ranging from deep red ochre to soft blues—giving each piece a unique patina. While ideally suited for internal use, they can also be fitted externally in sheltered areas like porches if regularly maintained with beeswax.

Available in a range of styles and sizes, including popular arrow head and penny end designs, our beeswax T hinges pair beautifully with matching thumb latches and D handles for a cohesive, period look.

Note: For best performance, we recommend using two hinges per door, or three for heavier applications.
