Add decorative period character to your shelving with this pair of Large Brass Trellis Brackets, traditionally cast in Shropshire. Featuring an attractive swirling vine-and-leaf trellis design, these substantial brackets combine practical support with beautiful architectural detail.

Measuring approximately 24 cm × 19 cm, their generous proportions make them particularly suitable for larger and deeper shelves in kitchens, utility rooms, living rooms, garden rooms and decorative alcoves. The botanical design works beautifully in period properties, while also bringing warmth and character to more contemporary interiors.

Each bracket is traditionally cast from solid brass and left unlacquered, allowing the surface to age naturally and develop a warm patina over time. The finish has the individual character associated with traditional brass fittings rather than the completely uniform appearance of modern, lacquered brass.

This batch represents the last of our Shropshire-made stock, as the traditional foundry that produced them has now closed.

Versatile Installation

You can install these Large Brass Trellis Brackets with either the longer or shorter side against the wall. This gives you greater flexibility when choosing the depth of your shelf and planning your installation.

Their larger size makes them an excellent choice where you want the brackets themselves to become a decorative feature rather than simply provide support.

Please Note – Natural Unlacquered Brass Finish

These brackets are new, unused stock from a traditional Shropshire foundry which has now closed.

As traditionally cast, unlacquered brass fittings, they are not intended to have a perfectly uniform or highly polished modern finish. Individual brackets may show darker areas, tarnishing, casting marks and variations in colour and surface finish. Therefore, one bracket may differ slightly from another.

These variations are characteristic of traditionally cast brass and do not indicate that the brackets are second-hand.

We supply the brackets in their existing natural finish. If you prefer brighter brass, you can polish the surface with a suitable proprietary metal polish, such as Autosol. Alternatively, leave them untreated and the brass will continue to develop a natural patina over time.

Please examine the product photographs carefully before ordering. Studio lighting and photography can make brass appear brighter than it does in natural light. If you require a perfectly uniform, highly polished or flawless brass finish, these traditionally cast brackets may not be suitable for you.

Complimentary wood screws are included. However, please select fixings appropriate for your wall type and ensure they are suitable for the shelf and load you intend the brackets to support.
