A characterful pair of Shepherd’s Crook Curtain Finials with a simple, traditional hand-forged design. Made from mild steel, each finial sweeps around into the distinctive curved shape of a shepherd’s crook.

These are ex-display pieces, so they may show light signs of handling or storage. However, they remain fully usable and offer a lovely way to finish a traditional curtain pole.

The Beeswax finish gives the steel a soft, natural appearance. Subtle blue and deep red ochre tones develop in the metal during forging. As a result, each piece has its own individual character.

After forging, the makers dip the steel in hot beeswax. This helps preserve the natural tones of the metal and creates a rich, soft matt finish.

The understated design works particularly well in period homes, country cottages and traditional interiors.

Beeswax Care

Changes in temperature or packaging can occasionally cause a light white bloom to appear on the surface. Simply buff this away with a soft cloth.

To maintain the finish, apply a small amount of wax from time to time. Use a soft cloth or brush to help protect the steel and keep it looking its best.
