Traditional Victorian Mechanical Bell Pull

This traditional unsprung mechanical bell pull operates a compatible internal bell mechanism. The decorative oval-ended pull sits on a slim oblong backplate. Therefore, it works particularly well on narrow door frames or in areas where fitting space is limited.

The proportions closely follow those of the original Victorian example. As a result, the bell pull brings an authentic period appearance to Victorian, Edwardian and other traditional properties.

Traditionally Sand Cast in Recycled Brass

Craftsmen use traditional sand-casting methods to make each bell pull from solid recycled brass. Consequently, the surface has a slightly worn, aged and individual appearance rather than the perfectly uniform finish of modern mass-produced brassware.

Small casting marks, surface variations and minor imperfections add to the character of each piece. Moreover, these traditional features help create the authentic aged appearance of the bell pull.

The brass will also naturally mellow with age and use. Therefore, its appearance may continue to develop over time.

Ideal for Narrow Door Frames

One of the most useful features of this design is its narrow oval backplate. At only approximately 35mm wide, it allows you to install a traditional mechanical bell pull on slimmer door surrounds where a larger round backplate may not fit.
