Black Finish & Care

The black powder-coated finish has a subtle sheen that complements timber, painted doors and natural stone. In addition, the baked coating protects the steel against corrosion in normal environments.

Clean the knobs with a soft damp cloth before drying them thoroughly. However, avoid abrasive cleaners, wire wool and harsh chemicals because they can damage the protective coating.

This finish performs well outdoors in sheltered locations. However, we do not recommend it for exposed coastal properties where airborne salt may cause corrosion. Finally, apply a small amount of 3-in-1 Oil to the threaded spindle during installation and routine maintenance to keep the mechanism operating smoothly.
