A beautifully simple pair of polished brass, mushroom shaped door knobs, built to stand the test of time.
These traditionally made door knobs are part of a unique collection that contains pieces created from molten brass, bronze or iron just as the Romans did over two millennia ago. This makes them very authentic in feel. These heavyweight door knobs are unsprung and are supplied with loose backplates making them suitable for mortice and rim locks. A rim lock only requires one backplate for the side of the door which does not have the rim lock.
Our brass mushroom door knobs are perfect for cottages due to there smaller size but work equally well in grander period homes, especially on bedroom doors which often had simpler styles compared to the public rooms of a house. Made from unlacquered brass these door knobs will naturally age over time however, to keep them bright, simply polish occasionally with a good quality brass or metal polish.
They are available in two sizes to suit the scale of your doors: Small or Large
