Pewter Patina Finish & Care

From The Anvil creates the Pewter Patina finish through a specialist ageing process followed by barrel polishing to produce its rich colour and distinctive texture. A durable clear matt lacquer then protects the surface, helping preserve its appearance for many years.

Consequently, this low-maintenance finish performs exceptionally well in kitchens, bathrooms and sheltered external locations. Likewise, occasional cleaning is all that is needed to keep the thumblatch looking its best.

Simply wipe the surface with a soft, lightly oiled cloth to remove dirt and environmental deposits. However, avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals, as these may damage the protective lacquer.

Before installation, allow all plaster, paint and timber treatments to cure completely. Otherwise, trapped moisture and construction chemicals may affect the finish.
