Mounting Bracket for Curtain Rail – Beeswax – Set of 6 – Ex Display

This set of six traditional curtain rail mounting brackets features hand-forged mild steel construction and a traditional Beeswax finish. A Shropshire blacksmith made each bracket using traditional forging techniques.

The shaped fixing plates and curved supporting arms give the brackets plenty of character. As a result, they suit period properties, cottages and country interiors particularly well.

The Beeswax finish creates a soft, natural appearance. During forging, the steel develops subtle blue and deep red ochre tones. The blacksmith then dips the metal in hot beeswax to protect the surface and preserve these natural variations. Therefore, each bracket has its own slightly individual colour and texture.

Furthermore, the hand-forged construction means you may notice small variations in shape and finish. These differences form part of the character of traditionally made ironwork rather than faults.

To maintain the Beeswax finish, occasionally apply a clear wax, especially in areas prone to moisture or condensation. This will help protect the steel and retain its traditional appearance.
