Beeswax Finish & Care

From The Anvil applies a traditional Beeswax finish to protect the forged steel while enhancing its natural texture and handcrafted appearance. Consequently, every handle develops its own individual character and beautifully complements traditional furniture.

However, the Beeswax finish is designed for internal use only and should not be exposed to prolonged moisture or external weather conditions. Likewise, install the handle only after plaster has fully cured and paint or timber treatments have completely dried, as trapped moisture may encourage corrosion.

Simply wipe the handle occasionally with a soft, lightly oiled cloth before applying a small amount of maintenance beeswax when required. In addition, avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals, which may damage the protective finish.
