Blacksmith Made Iron Double Candle Wall Sconce

A substantial blacksmith made iron double candle wall sconce, with a wonderfully simple and traditional design. Made from solid iron and weighing almost 2kg, it has the character and presence of a genuine piece of hand-forged ironwork.

The long vertical backplate features curled ends at the top and bottom. A gently curved iron arm crosses the centre and supports two projecting candle holders. Each holder has a shallow round drip pan with a central spike to help hold the candle securely in place.

The iron has a dark, naturally varied finish. Subtle marks, colour variations and signs of the making process add to its rustic character rather than detracting from it.

With an overall width of approximately 35cm and a 40cm backplate, this is an impressive wall fitting. It would look particularly at home in a country cottage, period hallway, dining room or traditional interior, where it can provide atmospheric candlelight as well as decorative interest.

The drip pans measure approximately 10.5cm in diameter, making them suitable for church or pillar candles of around 2″ / 5cm diameter.

Candle Safety

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep lit candles away from children, pets, draughts and combustible materials. Always make sure the sconce is securely fixed to the wall and that candles are firmly positioned before lighting.
